My sister has an OND. Should she register for UTME or Direct Entry, and what is the difference?

UTME is for candidates with O level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) who want admission into 100 level. It is a computer-based exam, usually held between March and May, and the form is sold from January.

Direct Entry (DE) is for candidates who already hold an A level, OND, NCE, HND or degree and want admission into 200 level. DE has no exam; you register on the JAMB portal, upload your qualification, and the university screens you.

Your sister with an OND should use Direct Entry. Both forms are bought through jamb.gov.ng and its accredited CBT centres; the UTME form was under 10,000 naira in 2025. Never pay anyone who promises a guaranteed admission.
